Cool bird! Looks like a Domestic Duck x Mallard hybrid.

I also should note that the pictures don't really show that it was larger than a Mallard, not quite double the size, maybe 1-1/2x or so.

When I was doing a bit of Googling earlier I had suspicions that it could be a Mallard x Pekin. Thanks for your help, Mark
