Hey all, i don't know why i've never noticed before but last night around sunset, while taking a walk in the alley near my home in North Vancouver i saw 100+ crows all flying east together to their nightly roosting spot.
My question, does anyone know where the North Vancouver crows roost at night?
It was quite the sight to behold

I see it every night as well I do wonder where they all roost it's always cool to see a huge flock of crows go by in the evening. Very cool phenomenon!

Each evening most Northwestern Crows head to Willingdon Avenue close to where Highway 1 intersects, it's a small wooded area with Still Creek running through it.

Northwestern Crows are like a tribe with the most important crows are in the center of the roost and the least important crows on the outer edges, there are even outcasts who have been kicked out of the roost and are in danger from predators because they lack the protection from the roost.

Yeh, i was wondering if the North Van crows were part of the Willingdon group, pretty cool that they all get together like that.

My brother lives on the top floor just off commercial dr and when we've been partying on the rooftop deck the crows are flying up the hill from strathcona park right over hour heads... and if we duck behind the railing they'll come 3 ft above it. Hundreds come over every night and it's always amazing.

The Burnaby roost isn't the only Northwestern Crow roost, there's one in Port Moody, Richmond and Surrey and a small one up Indian Arm.

There used to be a big crow roost on Bowyer Island in the Howe Sound.

Hi, there must be a rookery in North Vancouver as I just watched a bunch fly over that way. I am thinking it is at the little river park just before you take the exit to go south on Iron Workers Memorial.
