WildResearch is hosting the annual 'Butterfly and Monitoring workshop this weekend at the UBC Botanical Gardens. Good opportunity to learn how to identify and handle Butterflys.

And the US Department of Agriculture has a downloadable field guide for free: Lepidoptera of the Pacfic Northwest: Caterpilars and Adults. It is a great resource and quite affordable,
