Birding in BC Community

We are planning a trip to the Maritime provinces (mostly Newfoundland) in early September. Has anyone done any birding in that area that has some recommendations?

We have found a few promising places already:
- Elliston Puffin Site (Elliston, NL)
- Cape St. Mary's Seabird Colony, NL

puffins may be gone by then at Elliston because the breeding season is over.

Yeah, we are aware that we are quite late in the season. Hoping for the best.
