Help needed with the Grouse (?)

Hi all. A few days ago we were in Manning Park around Lightning Lake and saw this one on the ground near the lake. It wasn't very shy but also didn't make any sound. We believe it to be either a Sooty Grouse or a Dusky Grouse. Does anyone have any ideas? I find these birds pretty tough to identify. Thanks for any help you can provide!
