There are some great events and activities lined up, this year is “Birds in our Garden” with many events featuring the important relationship between plants and birds in our city.
There will be a Big Day bird count that will culminate at the finale event at the public library on May 14th which should be a lot of fun with prize giveaways.
Everyone should go and celebrate Vancouver Bird Week May 7-14. For birders of all levels and ages there are walks, workshops, films, and lectures all week long to learn more about birds.
Visit http://www.vancouverbirdweek.ca for more information.
Cheers,
Mel
