Wow! What an honour...congratulations. I have no idea on what you should charge (you’d think they’d have a set rate??).
Any chance of you posting the image here?

I posted on Fraser Valley site already Bert but like i said, they usually have a set price unless its a cover shot or something. Field guide shots are not going to make you rich with what they pay (i had a shot in a Peterson field guide once and it didn't pay too much) but its worth it when you see it in a book. Tell them "i usually charge about a $100 US per image" and go from there.

Never hurts to ask them to send a copy of the book as well, especially if they are not willing to pay much.
