I am getting excited for all of the ducks to return to Vancouver Island for the winter. Heres one from last february or March...

I do love those little guys! and you are right...there is kind of a gap where I live until
the ducks come back and they are certainly doing that right now...always a nice thing to see.

Hey Glenn,

Perfect Bufflehead shot! You'd never know these guys were packing all that iridescence when you see them from a distance - they just look like a nifty-patterned duck. I also like the slight view of the bubblegum pink leg! It basically shows all the things I enjoy about this duck.

Beautiful shot as usual, Glenn. Jeremy is right... perfect. One of many things I love about your photos is the colour. YES! I love winter birding! I'm lucky... I work in Harrison Hot Springs with a view of the lake, and I get to watch rafts of Buffleheads and lots of interesting stuff floating by my office window.
