The fog was starting to drive me nuts the other day, so I decided to get out of it and head up Burnaby Mountain.

When I arrived, a raven was eyeing me warily from one of the treetops. It was too high up to get a quality shot - but good enough for me.



The highlight was of course the Pine Grosbeaks that everyone is going up there for:







I also spotted a Hairy Woodpecker in the woods and got this accidental silhouette shot:

The woodpecker reminded me of a "Crap Bird Photography" Facebook group that I came across recently... might make for an amusing sub-forum here...
