Hello all,
Its been a little while since i posted anything, so here we go. I have almost been away from my home(Canada) for a year now. Man i can't believe how the time has been flying past. We fared well over our first winter in Christchurch, and would compare it to a winter on Canada's west coast but without the rain. It was unseasonably dry this winter here. Should have been more like Victoria, B.C. for winter rainfall. Anyway the lack of rain and mild temperatures allowed me to do a lot of travelling, camping, and photography throughout the winter. Definitely picked up some new species and have now photographed over one hundred NZ birds. I also managed to do a couple presentations to various NZ bird groups who wanted to see my images from back home. They really loved all our NA owl species. We only have one native owl species over here. Here are a few of my favourites since last time i posted. Please check out my September Gallery here:http://www.mikeashbeephotography.com/Re ... mber-2016/
Grey Warbler
New Zealand Fantail
New Zealand Fernbird
Australasian Crested Grebes
White-winged Black Tern
Black-browed Albatross
Stitchbird
Thanks for looking
Cheers Folks
