You lower mainland folks have been enjoying the BN stilt in White Rock. Here are a few from a few weeks ago when they were numerous in certain spots around Edmonton while on migration.

Nice pictures. I really like the third one, the bird contrasts well with the brownish water.

Nice photos as usual. Interestingly, the BN Stilt at White Rock seemed to be drinking salt water. I wonder if it is behaving badly, as there is a river outflow into the ocean a half km away.

I'm still feeling a little jealous of that tree photo with a couple of hundred Bohemian Waxwings in it. And I've yet to see a Canada Warbler or a Blue Jay (one is in the area, apparently).

I think the berries are ripening early in these parts. I'm not certain how that will impact the Winter migrants. Not too many Cedar Waxwings about, though.
