... sorry about the fact that you have to bring up my Flickr postings in order to see this photo (if interested).

This wee bird was photographed at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary a couple of weeks ago. Although it is a common bird in these parts, I was pleased with the detail that my new Nikon D5000 camera was able to capture ... have been a Pentax person for most all of my life and decided to switch because of the features now offered by Nikon: sad in a way ... not promoting anything here, just posting this to share my delight in what I am now able to achieve!

It's always fun to upgrade the equipment. Enjoy!

Still, you'll be clawing my Olympus E-3/300mm f2.8 combo out of my cold dead hands!

PAUL: ... always enjoy your postings! ... thanks for the kudos.

Despite much assistance from lots of you kind folks trying to help out on this Forum, I have tried to post photos directly without any success. My Brother-in-Law, who is a computer programmer, while visiting us from Alberta a while ago was unable, following guidance from many on this site, to help me succeed. My Daughter who teaches Television Arts (considerable computer involvement), while visiting us from Ontario was similarly unsuccessful: so "to heck with it" (or similar wording that means the same thing): FYI

Doug... maybe this might help.
Go to your flickr photo, and click on "All Sizes"
At the bottom you will see 2 codes in boxes.
Image
Copy the url of the photo to your clipboard

Then when you want to put it in one of these comment boxes just paste it between the Img brackets as shown in picture below

When you have that done, click Preview to see your image, and then if happy....the Submit box.

Doug: ... thanks for the advise: I will try to post a photo direct once again the next time that I have something of interest to offer.

... this is a photo taken over this past weekend at Swan lake in Victoria: a magnificent setting for this bird off in the distance: following the advise offered by Doug from Burnaby ... if this works, THANKS ... the process of posting using this recommendation is easy to follow ... might not work as the photo does not appear using the preview.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/28041738@N05/4362819507/ : this is the photo "the old way"

... in case anyone cares to take a look ... this Doug!

You are using the wrong code , go to all sizes , pick say medium or large then go to below the picture where it says ...Grab the photos URL......copy and paste that in like this
