Couple of odd looking Mallards at Reifel this past weekend, haven't quite figured out inserting images, so they are on my Flickr (below).

One was a very light coloured female, the other a quite odd looking male. I am sure they have been posted here before, but neat to see in any case! If only the weather had been better for the trip, but such is November in BC!

I think I've seen the drake at Reifel before. I was told that the big white patch on the breast happens with mallard X muscovy ducks. If there is anyone more knowledgeable out there I'd love to be corrected!
