Went out after work yesterday (Friday 11) to Terra Nova park in Richmond to look for the juvenile Black Phoebe that has been present since Tuesday.
The bird was fairly easy to find, hawking insects in the backyard of the abandoned white house behind the ponds.
I was there from 1:00pm till 3:00pm and the bird was viewable from a distance the whole time.

Excellent pictures Paul. I was waiting for you to get out there and capture this guy. I went by on Thursday morning with my daughter and was extremely lucky to be able to watch him/her for at least 10 minutes just sitting on the cloths line. The unfortunate thing was I didn't get any pictures. In my little point and shoot you couldn't even see him :)

Thanks for posting! He was still there as of this evening so I hope everyone gets a chance to see him. It's only the 5th ever record for the Vancouver area.

If anyone's interested or didn't catch him yet, he's still there as of this afternoon (Sat. 10/24). Guess he's not going home...
