The RUTU continued today and was seen this afternoon by Cos van Wermeskerken on the breakwater at the end of the White Rock Pier.

He got a nice photo attached:

I resolved to go birding more again this year (last year was a bit of a write-off for local birding) and so I headed to White Rock for the Scoters and accidentally saw the Ruddy guy today... we were just walking back to the car and I was like... that's different! (I got them in Florida last year.) I got two lifers though too - the White-winged Scoters and some Long-tailed Ducks! Also saw a Ruddy Duck (rare for me). My boyfriend just signed up to eBird and it was his first day out, so he got 31 lifers. LOL It was a great day!

So - HI EVERYONE - long time no see! :D

RUTU continues today, 200m past the white rock (opposite direction of pier).
