While seeing the Ruddy Turnstone this afternoon young birder Katya Kondratyuk with George Clulow and Rob Lyske had 2 Eared Grebes off the White Rock pier breakwater. This is the best place to see them close during winter, especially for photos. You can see them off the ferry jetty too for example but usually not close enough for pics.
