This little dove has been rediscovered in Brazil! Before this it had not been since 75 years ago!
The amazing sighting was kept quiet while ornithologists worked on a conservation plan. More still needs to be done so the bird does not go extinct. They have currently found only 12 doves and the exact location is wisely remaining secret.

!. I too am hoping for the best for these doves. Whooping Cranes were brought back from the brink of extinction so let's hope the same for them.
