Birding in BC Community

I'm going through my summer shots and trying to solve all the mysteries

These appeared to be quite large birds near the Reifel entrance in late June (sorry for the bad angle).



I can't even make a guess on this one.

Another mystery that looks like some sort of rock sandpiper?

The first two birds look like European Starling, and your last bird seems to be a Spotted Sandpiper!

Starlings! That never occurred to me as I expect them to be that shiny purple colour. Juveniles I guess.

Young starlings are notoriously confusing.
