Following are four hawks that are enough out of the 'normal' colour range to cause me doubt due to the vast range of colour for a number of hawk species. I think these are all red-tailed hawks but I would appreciate advice if I have any wrong.
1. Observed in mid-nebraska in December. I considered a light juvenile Broad-winged hawk but came back to a very light Red-tailed.
2.Another very light coloured hawk also observed in mid-Nebraska in December. This one I think is more obviously a Red-tailed Hawk.
3. Observed over central Nebraska in May. I think this one is a Krider's Red-tailed.
4. Final a local bird observed near Boundary Bay in February. Is this a Harlan's Red-tailed?
Thanks for the help/
