I took this photo in the Napa Valley in California on a recent trip. At first I thought it was a Finch (and it may well be) but then thought possibly a California Towhee. Hopefully someone will point me in the right direction. I have searched through my books and can't say for certain what it is. Cheers, Neal

Hi Neal,

This is indeed a California Towhee. It does have a bill somewhat like a finch, but a good ID mark is the rufous undertail.
